We were driving to the meat market and saw the sign that said " fried green tomatoes , and boudin balls" , after passing a few minutes hubby decided to turn around and we went in. We were greeted by the sweet young lady up front , as I love fried green tomatoes, I got those and hubby got the boudin balls, and we ordered a half and half tea. Everything was good, fried yes, but we don't eat that every day so it's good every now and then...
The very next afternoon, I was craving those darn fried green tomatoes, so hubby takes me there ( through d/t) , it is about 15 mins. from us. The same sweet lady was working and remembered us, of course I got my fried green tomatoes ( I asked extra crispy ) and hubby got a burger with their homemade onion rings, although ,my tomatoes were not as crispy as I would like, they did the job of my craving lol
The burger, they had to redo as they forgot cheese but hubby liked it and the onion rings were fresh and amazing too !
I'm sure I'll be back again soon, would like to try their lunch specials on weekdays that look very affordable and a good plate with sides. -

We go here often and tonight their AC was out. They were still in the back cooking! Me and my husband were the only ones there to place an order to go. Maybe it was because they weren't as busy but the food was delicious. Crispy fries, perfect made to order hamburgers and to top it off there wasn't the usual meth head taking orders from the drive thru! It's always a hit or miss but tonight was spot on..
Several months later ..... AC still isn't working. No ice in the ice maker. No CO2 in the coke machine and my burger was soggy and the meth heads are back but honestly no AC in Texas and it's been months. Seems like they don't care much for this location since they have 2. It's all about the details. -

For starters, they don't open @ 6:00 am. They open at 9:00 am but apparently aren't prepared for customers then.
Secondly, the food is just okay. It used to be better a couple of owners ago. It'll fill you up but not leave you wanting more. It just happens to be next door to an oil change place so it's convenient. -

Nice spot o stop and there's something for everyone on the menu from salads to all kinds of fried foods. It's also has a Blue Bell ice cream counter for dessert.

Food is good but the service is NOT! We always call in our order and pick it up at the drive in window. The last two times we have been made to wait unnecessarily while our food sat under a heat lamp.
